Ewimo respects copyright. ewimo.me is a portfolio. It does not host a public upload area. If you believe material on this Site infringes a copyright you own or control, send a notice using the process below. This process follows the notice-and-takedown approach of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and I will also consider equivalent notices under other copyright laws.

Where to send a notice

Copyright agent: Ewimo
Email: contact@ewimo.me
Subject line: Copyright notice

A formal DMCA designated-agent filing with the U.S. Copyright Office requires a physical mailing address. This Site accepts notices by email. If you need a postal address for a formal filing, ask in your email and I will provide one for that purpose.

What a notice must include

To be acted on, your notice should include all of the following:

  1. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  3. The exact URL (or a clear description of where to find it) of the material on ewimo.me that you claim is infringing.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices may be ignored. Knowingly sending a false notice can create legal liability for you.

What I will do

If the notice is complete and the material is on this Site, I will remove or disable access to the material within a reasonable time and, where I can identify the person who posted it, tell them. Most material on this Site is my own work or a link to another site. A complaint about a third-party site should be sent to that site.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same email address. It should include:

  1. Your name, address, telephone number, and email.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the judicial district where your address is located (or, if you are outside the United States, of any judicial district in which Ewimo may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

If a valid counter-notice is received and the original sender does not file a court action within the time the DMCA allows (generally 10 to 14 business days), I may restore the material.

Repeat infringement

I may refuse further dealings with anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright.

Other legal requests

Trademark complaints, privacy requests, and other legal notices can be sent to contact@ewimo.me. Please describe the issue, the URL, and what you want done. I respond to valid requests; I do not respond to automated or bad-faith threats.
